La Carreta is truly the only real Nicaraguan restaurant in the Houston area. The food is the main star and lives up to fritanga quality you would find in Managua. Eduardo who is the owner has an amazing talent to serve and truly put his heart in this little spot. The restaurant is filled with classic Nicaraguan painting and you feel like you stepped into a classic Nicaraguan living room. Recommend 100% to anyone. Also the nacatamales are great aswell.

Quesillos are my personal favorite and cacao drink tastes great !!The people are very nice and we really enjoyed our time over there.

Finally I found a Nicaraguan restaurant! The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff is super nice and welcoming. It is a mom and pop place so do not expect a fancy restaurant. The food is delicious home cooked ,nothing is better than that.

I had to try this place out because its not easy to find Nicaraguan restaurants. The food here is excellent and very authentic Nicaraguan dishes. Ive been here a few times and will come back for more.
